The Perfect Method (aka Perfect Run Method) is a method in which the player closes Smash Hit from memory, and re-opens it (e.g. after being hit by an object) so the current room restarts from the beginning with their previous multi-ball status and ball count.
- Since this also re-generates the room, it has the possibility of making the game easier the next time the player opens it.
- This method can be used to get good (High Net Gain) rooms and ball grind.
- Note that this does not work when the player has run into a door because the previous room's statistics (e.g. balls) is now superseded by the current room's statistics.
Glitches using Perfect Run Method[]
- It is often used to keep switching rooms in the Random Rooms Glitch, hopefully getting better rooms.
- (Note: this is pure chance.)
- (Note: due to there being 3 endless modes, made mostly of hard (yellow-red) stages, it is very common for a hard Endless Mode stage)
- The same method can be used in the ball grinding method, although any unwanted stages are just resumed for a few seconds, then Smash Hit is closed and re-opened again. Then the rooms are swapped over and over again until the player has some Break Points or High Net Gain stages. (Good for collecting balls or multiball!)
- The preserved status glitch can be used to the player's advantage, restarting the High Net Gain stages and collecting even more balls, until they are satisfied.
